Writing a paper is not only an essential part of the scientific method but also critically important for the community. It is also a crucial pillar of the careers of most scientists because they provide the documentation needed to advance in their careers and obtain funding. Unfortunately, most graduate students are exposed to the challenges of writing papers well into their own projects and the experience is often frustrating.

To address this, this workshop aims to provide some general guidelines on the structure of most scientific papers, the selection of a target journal, the submission, and the review process. The seminar aims to provide the editor’s view and guide students in the art of responding to reviewers. The workshop also aims to provide practical examples and a hands-on opportunity to write and rank papers.
